On Monday, August 15, the installation of the work commissions in the Congress of the Republic began. After defining the formation of each parliamentary working group, this Wednesday the 17th, the election of each one’s Board of Directors will take place.

The Board of Directors will also be made up of Heydi Juárez (Alliance for Progress) as vice president and Alejandro Cavero (Avanza País) as secretary.
The first committees to vote will be those on the Constitution and Regulations, Inspection and Comptrollership, Labor and Social Security, Women and Family, and Culture and Cultural Heritage.
On August 3 and 4, the benches that will chair each special commission within Parliament were determined. It should be noted that the presidency of 13 commissions has changed, since now Fuerza Popular, after becoming the political group with the majority in Congress, will have more heads of the working groups.
In this sense, he highlights that Nano Guerra García will direct the Constitution Commission in replacement of his colleague Patricia Juárez. Likewise, Nilza Chacón will assume the presidency of the Agrarian Commission in place of Vivian Olivos. On the other hand, Héctor Ventura will remain at the head of the Control Commission. Rosangella Barbarán will be the new president of the Economy Commission, which during the 2021-2022 period was led by the actionist Silvia Monteza.
