Congress: Justice Commission approves by insistence law that restores preliminary detention

With 17 votes in favor and 5 against, The Justice Commission approved by insistence which restores preliminary arrest without flagrance. With this decision, this working group of Congress is not accepting the observations made by the government of Dina Boluarte.

Among those who voted against are the congressmen of Peru Libre, Américo Gonza, José Balcázar and Waldemar Cerrón, and the Fujimorist David Jiménez. It should be stressed that Cerrón and Jiménez are parliamentarians who face investigations.
