The Board of Spokespersons of the Congress of the Republic will meet this Wednesday, September 14, at 5:00 pm, to see, as one of the items on its agenda, the motion to censorship against the Minister of Transport and Communications, Geiner Alvarado.
As recalled, The Avanza País bench presented a motion of censure against Alvarado Lópezafter being questioned on September 5.
In the document, which is signed by legislators from other parliamentary groups, it is stated that Geiner Alvarado manifests a moral incapacity and lack of suitability to hold office.
It was also detailed that it is intended to censor the head of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) for the alleged commission of illegal acts in the form of “fraudulent public tenders”, with which he would have granted the good pro of public works to companies that did not have the requirements demanded by law. In addition, they indicate that he addressed companies with which he would have negotiated “under the table”.
In addition, they mentioned that in the plenary session on September 5, in which he was questioned, Alvarado denied knowing businessmen Hugo and Anggi Espino Lucana, the president’s sister-in-law peter castle, Yenifer Paredesand the mayor of Anguía, Jose Nenil Medina Guerrero.
“What was stated by Minister Geiner Alvarado has not complied with clarifying the facts subject to questioning, nor has he responded suitably and fully on the actions deployed by his sector; further deepening the contradictions and leaving more doubts about his moral suitability ”the document reads.
In this sense, the Avanza País caucus highlights that this situation is “reason enough” so that the head of the MTC leaves office before new criminal acts are carried out, such as those being investigated when he led the Ministry of Housing.
It should be noted that Geiner Alvarado also investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly being part of a criminal organization that would be led by the maximum president.
