Program was extinct
After the serious cases of poisoning of students in various parts of the country and the hard criticism of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (MIDIS), the Executive Power formalized this Sunday the extinction of the Wasi Mikuna program through a Supreme Decree.
Supreme Decree 006-2025-MIDIS was published in the extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette El Peruano and carries the signing of President Dina Boluarte.
This device also declares in emergency the school food service, in addition to issuing other measures.
It is indicated that the deadline for the Wasi Mikuna program will not exceed December 31, 2025, date until the emergency declaration will also govern.
The standard establishes that the MIDIS will define the new modalities of delivery of the School Food Service, which will be formalized by ministerial resolution of the sector.
The MIDIS will also have the necessary measures and approve the relevant regulatory devices and/or mechanisms to guarantee timely care to the users of the School Food Service during fiscal year 2025.
