The authorities confirmed deaths in the private flight of a plane of Helidosa that crashed near the International Airport of the Americas (AILA) this Wednesday afternoon, with nine people on board.
This was reported by the director of the Air Accidents Investigative Commission, Brigadier General Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo, who at the time of being called was heading to the terminal.
He maintained that they do not know the death toll and they do not know who they are. Las Américas airport was closed and flights were diverted due to the tragedy. The plane took off from La Isabela airport (El Higüero), bound for Orlando, Florida.
According to Helidosa, the aircraft had two crew members and seven passengers, but the flight manifest says there are three crew members and six passengers.
The first to arrive were members of IDAC’s rescue and rescue unit, Souffront reported.
