The president of the union, Alfonso Bustamante Canny, reported the signing of a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter) to contribute to the modernization of the PNP and give it the respective logistical support.

He explained that months ago resources were provided to the Special Group Against Organized Crime (Grecco) to improve its administrative work and that now, thanks to the signing of this agreement, CONFIEP will provide financing for operational tasks.

“When we first visited Grecco agents, they lacked optimal resources to work in the office. For this reason, we have signed an agreement to help from Confiep with drones, computers and other supplies they need. We all have to support the Police, and from the private sector we will continue to give them our support,” he highlighted.

Bustamante Canny emphasized the need for the Government to implement an intelligence service. “Without intelligence it is difficult to combat organized crime. Legal doctors and other related specialists are also needed,” he added.
