In order to continue adding efforts in the development of the regions, by promoting the private investment and economic recovery, the president of the CONFIEPOscar Caipo, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Ucayali, Norberto Angulo, signed a mutual cooperation agreement, which contemplates the promotion of a series of projects in the region.
The agreement between both organizations has as its central axis the promotion of private investment, the generation of formal employment, the execution of investment projects to close social gaps, the promotion of responsible business conduct and the fight against corruption.
The alliance was announced at a press conference in which the general manager of Aeropuertos del Perú (AdP), Evans Avendaño, also participated, who presented the progress of the projects and the investment plan for the development of the airport infrastructure FAP Captain David Abensur Rengifo from the city of Pucallpa.
“The investment projects include the modernization of the Pucallpa airport, as well as the rehabilitation of the Air Side and expansion of the perimeter fence, whose works will require an investment of approximately US$ 200 million, which will allow the improvement of the airport infrastructure, optimization and improvement of the security conditions, as well as receiving a greater demand for flights, which will translate into a better service, both for the people of Pucallpinos and for all the visitors who come to this city”explained the general manager of Aeropuertos del Perú, Evans Avendaño.

For his part, the president of CONFIEP, Oscar Caipo, highlighted the role of the Ucayali Chamber of Commerce and the AdP announcements, which, he assured, will be of great contribution to the development of the department. “Our visit to Pucallpa, the signing of the agreement with the Chamber and the presentation of the status of the AdP investment projects allow us to reaffirm our commitment and business action. Peru cannot stop and in the private sector we are committed to continue working to recover the economic growth and development of the country’s regions”, he highlighted.
In turn, Norberto Angulo considered that the alliance with CONFIEP will bring significant benefits to the Ucayalinos. “We are sure that this alliance with the main business association in the country will allow us to promote joint actions to reduce the gaps that affect our population through investments that generate growth and employment.”, stated Angulo, after the signing of the commitment, which took place within the framework of the anniversary week of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Ucayali.
