CONFIDENTIAL on YouTube, directed by the journalist Carlos F. Chamorro, registers an average of more than three million monthly views, from a large community of Nicaraguans living mainly in Nicaragua, the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, Canada and twenty more countries that are looking for reliable information in the face of the vacuum that the dictatorship has tried to impose.
50.3% of the audience of CONFIDENTIAL on YouTube it is in Nicaragua, 20% in the United States, 10% in Costa Rica and the remaining 20% in two dozen countries in the rest of America and Europe.
Among its playlists, it displays a wide and exclusive offer of quality audiovisual journalistic content, which includes in-depth interviews, analysis, comments, archives of historical value and special reports. In addition, the satirical humor of the news with the segments La Última Mirada News, and Noti Miér-Coles.
CONFIDENTIAL It has multiplied its number of subscribers twenty-fold since the social outbreak of the Rebellion in April 2018, when it had close to 20,000. In January 2019 it exceeded 100,000 and its average annual subscriber growth reaches 80,000.
Nicaraguan media with the most subscribers on YouTube
CONFIDENTIAL It ranks as the second media outlet with the most subscribers in Nicaragua, with an archive of 7,200 videos and 124 million views, since its creation in May 2012. Independent journalism under attack and censorship
On two occasions, the regime has raided and confiscated the offices of CONFIDENTIAL and its audiovisual recording studios. He forced all his journalists into exile, and the censorship attempts persist, and they have gone from the physical and material to the Internet platforms.
In 2019, official media denounced our YouTube channel for alleged violation of “copyright”, for the use of news images of public interest, and of which the regime has deprived independent media. These complaints were intended to temporarily remove our daily publication from circulation.
