The affirmation of the president adviser comes after three and a half years of expressions of rejection by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador against the INE and its advisers; proposals from Morena deputies to remove Córdova early; complaints before the Internal Control Body (OIC) of the Institute and demand for impeachment against the head of the autonomous body.
In his message, the counselor stated that for decades the electoral system has evolved and that is what allows for peaceful, legal voting days that take place with absolute normality, as will happen in the local elections of this 2022, where they could cast their vote some 11.7 million Mexicans.
