Conep pondrá atención en empleo y salario real

Celso Juan Marranzini was sworn in as the new president of Conep and said that he will seek to expand and attract new investments and promote gender equity

The new president of National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep), Celso Juan Marranzini, affirmed that the private sector will contribute to achieving a higher degree of formalization, generating more quality jobs and paying attention to real wages.

Its objective is also to break the middle income barrier, generating economic growth and equity.

In his inauguration speech as president of CONEP yesterday, he said that he will seek to expand and attract new investments to the productive sectors and promote gender equality, offering the same opportunities to men and women.

He explained that the entity will bet on substantially improving the education that future generations deserve to ascend socially and economically.

“We aspire for the country to have an efficient electricity sector to eliminate the deficit that puts pressure on the State budget,” Marranzini expressed.

He indicated that there is a challenge to continue working on reforms to strengthen the Social Security System and strengthen the institutions, supporting the fight against corruption and impunity, the party system and the consolidation of democracy, facing the scourge of populism and patronage.

Marranzini He was elected president for the period 2023-2024 and said that he assumes the long-term vision of consolidating the role of private companies as a source of quality job creation, investment, currency and income for the Condition.

“This is a significant challenge in these times of sudden and continuous changes, where great technological, social and economic transformations are also combined worldwide, of which the Dominican Republic is no stranger,” he said.

Marranzini announced that in the coming months they will be convening the entire business sector for the celebration of the Tenth Business Convention in order to develop and present proposals focused on the strategic axes of the country’s national agenda. It will be an opportunity to establish a road map that will allow the sustained development of the country to be achieved.

He expressed that the commitment is to continue the current work agenda, with enough flexibility to adapt it to new challenges that lie ahead, working to continue acting proactively and responsibly.
