A total of 30,566 low-income Panamanians will receive the third payment of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programs (CCTP) starting this Monday, August 19, until Friday, August 23, as part of a state policy developed by the National Government in favor of the most vulnerable populations.
For this payment, around 170 points and 35 routes have been set up throughout the country where beneficiaries of the programs from 120 to 65, Opportunity Network, Guardian Angel and the Food Bonus delivered by the National Secretariat for the Food and Nutritional Security Plan (SENAPAN) will be served.
Minister Beatriz Carles de Arango and Vice Minister Ricardo Landero will be present at different payment points with the aim of supervising the processes and gathering information to guarantee the best experience for beneficiaries in future processes.
The institution conducted training prior to the payment date in which it instructed its supervisors to be observers of the processes in order to develop new adjustments.
MIDES reminds beneficiaries that PTMC money must be used exclusively to purchase food, medicines and basic necessities.
Upon completion of payments in hard-to-reach areas, MIDES will make the transfers effective by Clave Social Card, from September 2 to 13. During this period, 160,846 Panamanians will receive their money at ATMs.
Under the two payment modalities, in hard-to-reach areas and the Clave Social Card, 191,412 Panamanians will benefit, with an investment of B/. 55,834,560. The PTMC have a gender component by benefiting 131,497 thousand women, most of whom come from remote and vulnerable regions.
The PTMCs also represent an economic injection for the country, while restoring the rights and combating the poverty of families that have been excluded from social development.
