Conciliation between employers and workers limits the intervention of lawyers: CFCRL

Conciliation between employers and workers limits the intervention of lawyers: CFCRL

71% of the labor conciliation processes between workers and employers carried out by the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration (CFCRL)has been resolved in favor of the workers and without the intervention of lawyers.

This was announced by the CFCRL headed by Alfredo Domínguez Marrufo, who stressed that the conciliation procedure has a duration of maximum of 45 calendar days and has no cost.

“With this new procedure, long and costly lawsuits are avoided, which left the working class at a disadvantage.”

Likewise, it informed the workers that in the CFCRL offices the advisory service is provided by the Federal Attorney for the Defense of Labor (Profedet) and the Federal Institute of the Public Defender (IFDP), both also free of charge.

The Federal Center made a call not to fall into the hands of the so-called “coyotes”, who offer to resolve the conflict before this instance, since the services offered are free.

In different attention and advice windows in the states, the Federal Center provided a total of 14,818 orientations during the year 2021, of which 92.90% have been mostly for users who requested information from the individual conciliation services for dismissal and payment of benefits.

From November 18, 2020, when it began operations in eight states of the country, until February 28, 2022, when it already operates in 21 entities, concluded 24,604 individual conciliation agreements between workers and employers. The states with the highest number of reconciled matters are the State of Mexico and Ciudad del Carmen.
