Recently her name had jumped to the table after confirming the high level of secrecy that is handled in relation to the scope of her efforts in the Presidency of the Republic and even about the existence or not of any official document that supports her as an official.
This time, the situation is again loaded with controversy, since some leaked chats show the level with which Verioska Velasco tries to handle certain information that is disseminated in the media.
Screenshots of WhatsApp conversations apparently show how Verioska Velasco, current adviser to President Mario Abdo Benítez, is in charge of “scripting” media outlets close to the government.
One of the conversations includes a link to a Twitter post on Grupo Vierci’s Telefuturo channel. In it, former President Horacio Cartes is mentioned and the actions of the Prosecutor’s Office in relation to the ongoing cases.
The other conversation also corresponds to a tweet, this time from the radio station 780 AM, where the former Minister of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and current official presidential candidate for the Republican Force movement, Arnoldo Wiens, was interviewed this afternoon.
Although the functions of the Venezuelan Verioska Velasco would have to be limited (according to the information that is handled externally) to issues concerning the communicational part of President Abdo Benítez, now she would also be in charge of monitoring what is disseminated on TV channels, radios and other press media that have an editorial line closer to the government in power.
It is known that the adviser is one of the most influential in the circle of the President of the Republic, which is why she appears in various official acts. In addition, she is the one who directs sensitive information from the Government and would be responsible for the latest operation spilling reserved data from the Secretariat for the Prevention of Money or Asset Laundering (Seprelad).
