Relations are not broken, says Albares
Albares Bueno considered that the bilateral relations between his country and Mexico “will never be broken” since they go beyond the political, social and cultural, since they are even family and brotherhood.
After this Wednesday President Andrés Manuel López Obrador insisted on putting a “pause” in relations with Spain due to the abuses of that country’s companies in Mexico, the Spanish official highlighted during his visit to the Senate of the Republic that the ties that for years have been woven between both countries are solid.
He pointed out that, in the social sphere, there are more than 175,000 Spaniards living in Mexico and more than 30,000 Mexicans living in Spain, in addition to the fact that both countries generate cultural and educational exchanges. In the economic sphere, he said, there are currently 500 Mexican companies that invest and employ 20,000 Spaniards.
“Both colonies live in total harmony in our countries creating fraternal relationships, family relationships that will never break. Every Mexican company is welcome in Spain, as I hope every Spanish company is welcome in Mexico, all of these are ties in an increasingly complex world”, added the Spanish official.
