The chilling viral challenge that teenagers post on TitTok called “Angel of Death” consists of throwing yourself at moving trucks hoping that they will stop and not run over the participant. The test is passed if the vehicle manages to stop without running over the person.
In Indonesia, this dangerous activity was first recorded in 2021 and has resurfaced again, causing several youths to be run over by tractor-trailers and two to be killed.

Experts in psychology and psychiatry explain that it is very difficult to control the circulation of this type of content on social networks and that is why they call on parents, relatives and teachers to explain to adolescents that these challenges can have deadly consequences.
“There are emotionally fragile young people who follow these challenges and end up developing very dangerous behaviors, who not only put themselves at risk but put others at risk,” said psychologist Roberto Sicard.

According to specialists, this type of behavior shows the need for young people to have a place in social networks, show in some way that they can challenge and show themselves, and that they can survive death.
“The reckless type of young person is normally a young person who does not have solid affective ties, and reckless behaviors are certainly dangerous, even in some countries they are crimes,” added Sicard.
