The slaughterhouse of the Association of Cattlemen of Concepción (Agacon), is about to become a reality. The work, which until now demanded an investment of about 1.5 million Bolivians from the institutionhas a 95 percent advance and will be delivered to the partners on February 12, informed its president, Ernesto Ribera.
The infrastructure, which is in the equipping phase, will cover the local demand of 20 to 25 head of cattle per day, but It has a slaughtering capacity of 60 head of cattle.
It is expected to start operating in approximately two months.after a process of organization and coordination with all the sectors that have to do with the item.

The slaughterhouse, which will order the issue of meat in Concepción, will necessarily be accompanied by a product price adjustmentto avoid shortages in times of drought, said the president of Agacon.
Ribera said that the issue has already been raised with the Municipal Council and other scenarios because Concepción is the only municipality that has frozen meat prices for more than ten years.
The livestock leader clarified that Agacon does not intend to profit from the slaughterhouse, but clear rules and a fair price must be established among all the sectors. prevent the meat from going to other markets. “That the resources generated by the slaughterhouse are for its maintenance and to replace the equipment that at some point becomes damaged over time.
