The National Confederation of Transport Organizations (CONATRA), today called on all transport operators in the country to join forces and submit to dialogue with the authorities.
This in search of solutions and goals that avoid the increase of accidents and situations such as those that occurred last Saturday, October 8, in the eastern region of the Republic, where three foreign nationals were killed and 40 tourists were seriously injured.
Mario Diaz, spokesman for the institution, said that he agrees that before confronting the authorities, the transportation company that owns the bus that crashed in the eastern region last Saturday, October 8, should approach the Intrant and negotiate a way out that allows us all to correct the flaws in the country’s tourist transport system.
In addition to guaranteeing more security for passengers and tourists so that they do not face this type of situation in the future.
He added that Conatra recognizes the good intentions of the Executive Director of INTRANT, Hugo Beras, who since his appointment as head of that institution has maintained an attitude of dialogue with society and the entire transport sector, in order to make the passenger transport service more efficient and cargo throughout the country.
