“Ciudad 286”, which played on the Éxitos Circuit in Bolívar state, was taken off the air due to a “recommendation” from Conatel. The journalist Brayan Silva warned that the reasons for the airing of the space were not clear and that his right to freedom of the press was violated
The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP) denounced in its social networks that the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) “recommended” Circuit Éxitos, in Bolívar state, to remove the program “Ciudad 286” by journalist Brayan Silva from the programming schedule.
Silva, according to what he told SNTP, from the station told him that his program was no longer on the air due to such a “recommendation.” His space was for regional news and interviews of a political, economic and social nature. He and Francesca Díaz, a journalist from Correo del Caroní, were driving it.
The exit of the air of “Ciudad 286” was registered on May 17 but, before closing the space, they were talking about issues related to the shortage of gasoline in the Bolívar state and complaints related to the waste collection company, Fospuca.

The journalist, in a statement, indicated that the reasons given for the closure of “Ciudad 286” were not clear and warned that its going off the air violates press freedom. In addition, he says that the allegation they gave him is that the program “was too newsworthy for the Éxitos style.”

Far from lessening the fuel problem, chaos is reborn in Bolívar, mainly in subsidized service stations. In these, before Governor Ángel Marcano prohibited night queues and listings, a pre-marking was applied from days before the announcement of the day of dispatch according to the license plate terminal.
This also generated anarchy among drivers desperate to score, and even traffic accidents. However, the prohibition of this dynamic causes chaos to worsen as the days go by, and drivers have no guarantee of regularization in the dispatch of gasoline at service stations, according to what was published by Correo del Caroní on May 9.
In addition to the gasoline situation in the entity, users in Ciudad Guayana have expressed their discomfort with the Fospuca collection company for alleged improper charges and extortion, since, apparently, they are charging improperly; just as they would be asking for a payment of taxes by non-regular means and extortion against businesses and residences in the Caroní municipality of the Bolivar state.
