Agents of the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) detained a woman and seized war material from her, according to reports. The procedure was carried out in the La Pastora sector, Aragüita, Acevedo municipality (Caucagua), Miranda state.
The woman was carrying in a black bag the sum of 30 5.56 x 45 mm caliber cartridges, twelve 7.62 x 51 mm caliber cartridges and two radio transmitters.
The woman’s arrest took place within the framework of the operation deployed against the El Geiber criminal gang, which operates in Caucagua and other neighboring towns, collecting vaccines.
Last week the military destroyed 10 hideouts of the aforementioned criminal group, also located in the La Pastora sector of the aforementioned Mirandino municipality.
During that operation, officials recovered an AR15 rifle, two magazines with 31 5.56 x 45 mm caliber ammunition, a Jericó 9 mm pistol (reported as stolen), two 12 caliber Maverick shotguns and several machetes, according to the minutes collected.
