Conas rescued a kidnapped man and arrested two kidnappers

Military agents rescued the rancher Hernán José López Luzardo during an operation carried out in the El Cruce sector, Jesús Maria Semprún municipality (Cacigua El Cubo), Zulia state, according to military sources.

López Luzardo had been kidnapped since last October 29 and the perpetrators of the incident demanded a large sum in dollars from his relatives to free him.

Upon receiving the complaint, the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (CONAS) began an investigation taking into account the telephone communications that the criminals maintained with the victim’s relatives. In this way they located the place where López Luzardo was held captive and planned the execution of his rescue.

In the middle of the procedure, three members of the kidnapping group identified as Jaime Luis Montiel, Rafael Santo Suárez and Sandra Correa Núñez were arrested. Two homemade shotguns, a cell phone and a motorcycle were seized from these people, says the CONAS report to which we had partial access.

The Public Ministry was informed of the procedure.
