Agents of the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) captured four subjects reported for multiple extortions, according to reports collected.
Two of the extortionists were captured in the San Pedro sector, Maracaibo (Zulia), and were identified as Luis Gerardo Espinoza (El Abuelo) and Juan Carlos Espinoza, members of the Mauricio Luzardo criminal gang. These people were in charge of collecting information (photographs and videos) from commercial establishments and then extorting them by demanding large sums in dollars in exchange for not attacking the victims.
The other two criminals were captured in the Bella Vista sector, Caroní municipality (Ciudad Guayana), Bolívar state. They were registered as César Ramón Coa Hernández and Evelio Antonio Rodríguez Figueroa, reported to Conas for the crimes of extortion and misappropriation. At the time of their arrest, a Hyundai Elantra, plates AF880DS, was seized.
The men had stolen the aforementioned vehicle from its owner in exchange for not making an attempt on his life.
The four detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry for processing.
