MIAMI, United States. — The influencer Paparazzi Cubano denounced this Tuesday the sale in foreign currency of t-shirts from the official program “Con filo” at the Havana airport, the main port of entry to the Island.
“Those paid by the capitalism of the “Con Filo” program. This is how they look for dollars at the Havana airport. Yankee-style souvenirs. If they don’t sell the sweaters with their brand, they don’t charge. What a double standard!” wrote the influencer, based in Panama since last year.
The publication of Paparazzi Cubano is accompanied by several images showing the “Con filo” pullovers hanging at a propaganda and event stand set up by the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) at the Havana airport.
It should be noted that this is not an isolated event, since similar souvenirs from the aforementioned official space are also sold at other points of sale in the capital.
According to the digital portal CubadebateCuban flags, pullovers and stickers from the television program are for sale at the “Bella Habana” store, located in the “Imagen Cuadro” store, also belonging to the Propaganda and Events section of the PCC.
The sale of “Con filo” souvenirs began at the end of last year and has the support of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets.
“Con filo” is one of the television programs most promoted by the Cuban regime. Since its inception, its objective has been to bring to justice not only activists and opponents of the island’s regime, but also all those citizens who, in one way or another, denounce the repression and human rights violations in the country.
