CON Escuelas monitors 81 ongoing contracts in 124 schools across the country

A report from the National Schools 2023 Operation Center (CON Escuelas 2023) program, dated June 1, indicates that in its Work Tables, in the Purchasing Follow-up section, it maintains the acquisition of 21 modular classrooms for the First Santa Cycle Librada, another 55 in phase 2 and seven more for the Veracruz Educational Center.

In addition, the work of moving and assembling five temporary classrooms for the Vasco Núñez de Balboa School is pending, with the help of the Southern Command. These will be delivered to the students of the educational center of the remote community of Manené, province of Darién. The purchase of materials for the Guacamaya School is also managed.

The CON Escuelas 2023 Investment Projects Infrastructure Work Group follows up on 81 contracts in execution in 124 schools throughout the country, as of May 31, 2023. Fourteen of these contracts are developed in Central Panama, 13 in Bocas del Toro, 10 in Veraguas, 9 in Panama West, 8 in the Ngäbe Buglé region. The remaining 27 are distributed in five regions.

Regarding the progress in the tenders, in the NOC Schools 2023 Action Plan that the National Directorate of Engineering and Architecture (Dinia) advances, the Buena Vista School, in the Ngäbe Buglé region, is developing plans; the Cerro Iglesia school, in the same territory; and the San Blas Professional and Technical Institute, in the Guna Yala region, are in charge of legal counsel.

The Antonio José de Sucre General Basic Education Center (CEBG) in Chiriquí, whose online listing is in Legal Counsel for exceptional proceedings. With the statement of charges ready, and in request for departures, are the Peñas Blancas, Quebrada Cayuco, La Loma and Barranquilla schools, all in Ngäbe Buglé territory. In the same condition, CEBG Los Pozos, in Veraguas.

In contract by endorsement, in the Comptroller General of the Republic, are the works in the Normal School Juan Demóstenes Arosemena, in Veraguas; Miraflores, in Bocas del Toro; in addition, the 55 modular classrooms mentioned above.

On the other hand, the work of CON Escuelas 2023 includes the process for the acquisition of laboratories for academic average, professional and technical average and general basic for 3.7 million balboas of investment that will generate an improvement in the studies of 23,158 students.

These procedures (by section) are in evaluation of samples and delivery of minutes with documentation to publish in Panamacompra, for 10 academic secondary schools; in review and delivery of market study to publish on the same portal, which corresponds to 21 schools; inputs received, logistics of delivery of supplies in the educational centers for nine general basic schools.
