The Comptroller General, nelson shackwill lead this Monday the 16th the day of accountability of the Municipal Control Mega-operation in Metropolitan Limain which details of the main results obtained in the more than 600 control services made to the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima and its corporation of public entities, as well as to the 42 district municipalities.
During the presentation, the results of the simultaneous and subsequent control services developed in municipal public entities in Metropolitan Lima will be announced, as well as the evaluations of complaints and the development of transversal activities such as technical assistance, awareness talks and training sessions.
The event has been invited by the mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, Rafael Lopez Aliagain addition to mayors of the 42 districts of Metropolitan Lima, municipal councilors, the authorities of the municipal entities and institutions that make up the Anti-Corruption Chain of the region.
Representatives of organized civil society and members of citizen control programs such as “Citizen Control Monitors” have also been invited.
The Municipal Control Megaoperative in Metropolitan Lima began on July 18, 2022 in compliance with the new control strategy with a territorial approach that has been implemented by the Comptroller General of the Republic with the purpose of reducing the impact of corruption and functional misconduct in the provision of public works and services in charge of the entities intervened in the province of Metropolitan Lima.

Considering the interventions in Metropolitan Lima, the Control Megaoperatives strategy has been completed in 17 regions and completion is pending in another nine regions during the first months of this year.
