Through a statement, the Comptroller General of the Republic, Elvis Amoroso, presented his full support for the actions undertaken by State institutions to intensify the fight against corruption.
Amoroso assured that it is the duty of all the institutions of the Venezuelan State to develop a frontal battle against the various forms of corruption that threaten the patrimony of the Venezuelan people.
“From the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, we express our firm backing and support for the actions that the Venezuelan State has been developing,” declared the senior official, who read a statement that includes three main edges.
The first of these is to provide unrestricted support to the president “for the courageous actions taken to combat these acts of corruption.”
Secondly, the comptroller’s office repudiates the fact that public officials who are at the service of the State use the patrimony to enrich themselves and do personal business.
Finally, it appointed the competent officials of the Comptroller General of the Republic to join this fight against corruption and accompany the rest of the State institutions in this task.
