Armindo Torres, director of affidavits for the Comptroller’s Office, announced to ABC TV that he filed a criminal complaint on behalf of the Comptroller’s Office against Wilfrido Cáceres, former chief of staff of the Asunción commune.
This, for supposedly acquiring an unjustifiable fortune in times of pandemic. The public official did not want to specify how much the unjustified money would be, but pointed out that the house that Cáceres owns could not have been made only with his monthly income and his sentimental partner.
“We did a correspondence test. For four to five months we ask for reports from public and private institutions. Cáceres also responded to our queries but the inconsistencies remained, ”he said.
Torres also reported that Cáceres made bank movements greater than the income he was able to access.
