The Comptroller General of the Republic, Elvis Amoroso, and the Minister of Petroleum and President of PDVSA, Pedro Tellechea, met to evaluate the mechanisms they plan to establish in order to protect the State’s assets, after the authorities revealed a plot of corruption in the oil company for which various officials and businessmen have been arrested.
At the meeting, the comptroller and the president of PDVSA carried out an analysis of the audits that have been carried out in the oil sector.

As will be recalled, on May 20, the comptroller, who is also president of the Republican Moral Council, expressed the unrestricted support of the office under his charge to the actions undertaken by the Executive Branch in the fight against corruption.
Likewise, he highlighted one of the duties of public institutions in his statements.
“It is the duty of all the institutions of the Venezuelan State to develop a frontal battle against the various forms of corruption that threaten the patrimony of the Venezuelan people,” he stressed.
In his speech, Amoroso stressed that the country’s highest control body will provide unrestricted support to the Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro, for the actions taken to combat all acts of corruption in order to purify the public administration of officials and businessmen. corrupt.
