The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and its auxiliary structure began here today a comprehensive evaluation of compliance with the agreements of the VIII Congress of that organization, which will last until the 18th.
According to information published in the local press, the tour will cover the 14 municipalities of the territory and will allow the analysis of the internal functioning of the base structures and the implementation of the ideas, concepts and guidelines of the maximum partisan event, which will meet in April 2021.
Other topics subject to inspection will be the control of economic activity and the implementation of the measures adopted in agriculture, the sugar harvest, attention to the policy of cadres and the assurance of the popular consultation of the Family Code.
The members of the PCC secretariat will visit schools, communities, state companies, cultural institutions and hold exchanges with leaders of youth and mass organizations.
The visitors will be accompanied by the highest political and governmental authorities of the province, headed by the first secretary of the organization in the territory, Ernesto Santiesteban, the newspaper ¡ahora! reported.
