The vaccination schedule against Covid-19 will now depend on your age, this after the Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Panama updated it, through Resolution No. 0251 of February 15, 2022.
According to this resolution, a complete vaccination schedule will be considered for those over 16 years of age, those citizens who have the three doses of the vaccines authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA for its acronym in English) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
It will also be a complete scheme with two doses, if the formula is Janseen from Johnson & Johnson (first dose plus booster or two doses).
In addition, those who have the combination of different vaccines authorized by the WHO, FDA, and the EMA will be considered complete, once they complete the three doses.
For its part, the complete vaccination schedule for people aged 5 to 15 years will be two doses of the Pfizer vaccine or the vaccines that are authorized for use in these age groups from 5 to 11 years and from 12 to 15 years, for the WHO, FDA and EMA.
This resolution establishes that a person is fully immunized or with a complete schedule once 14 days or more have elapsed, after completing the vaccination schedule according to the vaccine applied and age group.
