Denuncias HOY: roban a mujer más de RD$300,000 en prendas en AILA

Complaints TODAY: more than RD$300,000 in clothes stolen from a woman in AILA

the citizen Annabelle Cruz denounced through the complaint line of the newspaper Hoy that he was the victim of robbery when he entered the country through the Las Americas International Airport (AILA). Cruz arrived in the Dominican Republic from Europe on September 3 with a suitcase in which she brought a box of jewelry that was allegedly stolen from her luggage.

The woman assured that she lost gold and silver garments valued at an amount of six thousand Swiss francswhich, when converted to pesos at today’s rate, represents a whopping sum of RD$334,140.00. The woman also reported that she lost some pills that she must take to maintain her health.

The citizen assures that she realized the theft when she picked up her suitcase and that in order to respond to the damage, the Spanish airline Iberia told her that she should file a report of the theft at the nearest Police station, but after going to several the institution the agents refused to receive her alleging that it was not their jurisdiction so they could not make the claim.

Anabel Cruz told Hoy that she only wanted to have an official report in order to request that the security cameras be reviewed and thus locate the person responsible, but that both the Police and the AILA authorities and the airline refused to listen to her.

Recently a famous youtuber made a similar complaint about the theft of his luggage and that of his mother at the Punta Cana Airport.
