Compartamos Banco obtains a bank license to operate in Peru

At the close of the third quarter of last year, the subsidiary in Peru served 1.2 million people and gave financing above 21,000 million pesos.

The business in Peru is the second largest after we share Banco in Mexico and represents 28% of the people’s business portfolio.

“Our results and solid financial position in Peru make the evolution of our subsidiary a natural process in our strategy to be increasingly relevant in that market, which will allow us to strengthen our offer of financial services, now as a bank,” he said Enrique Majós, General Director of Peoplera.
