Comparsas and fraternities march asking for democracy and the release of Camacho

More than three thousand people, members of comparsas and fraternities, left from the Plaza 24 de Septiembre towards Christ the Redeemer in a march in which They demand freedom and democracy, in addition to the release of the governor Luis Fernando Camacho. The activity was organized by the so-called Comparsas Union.

The organizers indicated that the peaceful mobilizations until their requests are heard and the rule of law is restored.

“Us we have no head for Carnival, we are focused on the current situation. Later on, the corresponding organisms are those that They are going to determine if the Carnival is going to take place or not”, said Carlos Abuawad, one of the organizers of the activity.

The march featured drum music and the participation of dance groups, who showed their art on the occasion.

At the end of the march, the organizers invite all attendees to a barbecue. The grills are with the meat ready to be served. A dozen of them are stationed on the last block of Av. Monseñor Rivero, on the sidewalk of the Prosecutor’s Office.

For their part, police officers guard the Departmental Command, as they have been doing for more than 10 days.
