The Regional Hospital of Huancavelica (HRH) “Zacarías Correa Valdivia” is going through difficult times for two reasons: the tomograph and magnetic resonance imaging are inoperative, and the shortage of ambulances in the hospital.
On these two facts, the director of the HRH, Javier Correa, reported the reasons for them and the solutions they are managing.
INOPERABLE EQUIPMENT IN THE HOSPITAL
The doctor reported that they are waiting for the arrival of the Siemens company to carry out the maintenance of the tomograph and the magnetic resonator.
“On several occasions, the Siemens company, which is the one that performs the maintenance, has been requested to arrive in Huancavelica to carry out the intervention, both of the tomograph and the magnetic resonance device. However, for reasons of the same company, Siemens is postponing its arrival in Huancavelica”, said the director of the hospital.
He added: “We are constantly insisting on the company to carry out maintenance, meanwhile, the personnel that operates this equipment is working in other areas such as X-rays and others, since they belong to a pool of professionals who can attend to different areas “.

More than a month the Siemens company is postponing maintenance.
AMBULANCE SHORTAGE IN THE HOSPITAL
Likewise, the doctor explained that he has coordinated with different health centers so that their ambulances are available in the event of a possible eventuality that requires more than one or two ambulances.
“An ambulance is undergoing maintenance and will return to the hospital shortly. Likewise, we have coordinated with the health centers of San Cristóbal, Santa Ana and Ascensión, that, if necessary, the ambulances are available to the hospital, so that they are at the order of any alert”, reported Correa.
