The Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (CAASD) is working on the solution of a breakdown caused by a private company to a pipe of the drinking water distribution line, in the vicinity of the Villa Consuelo sector, of the National District.
Through a statement, the state entity reported that its brigades are intervening in the drilling of a pipeline that caused the precious liquid to spill between Manuel Ubaldo Gómez and Eusebio Manzueta streets in the aforementioned town.
The CAASD explained that due to the work carried out by the Operations Directorate staff on site, the service for María Auxiliadora, Villa Consuelo, Cristo Rey, April 24 Luperón, Guachupita, Gualey, Ensanche La Fe, is limited. La Zurza among others.
He pointed out that they carry out these actions with the objective of controlling water leaks while correcting the fault.

In that sense, the Corporation explained that they are expediting the work to guarantee the precious liquid to the surrounding communities.
Likewise, he specified that they are investigating the causes that caused the breakdown. Likewise, he indicated that they are investigating the granting of a permit to the company Perforaciones Sánchez to dig a hole and place a filter, which, according to reports collected, was what caused the pipe to break.
He added that he immediately received the report from the residents and sent his technical units and brigade members. He apologized for the inconvenience caused.
