SANTIAGO.- residents of the Las Mercedes neighborhood, In community of La Barranquita, from this municipality, they set up a picket in demand for the connection of the water networks that allow them to supply drinking water.
They affirmed that due to shortage they have to payR RD $ 100.00 for a tank water truck that barely reaches them to cover a minimum part of their needs.
Marino Morán, president of the Board of Neighbors of the Las Mercedes neighborhood, informed that the corporation of the aqueduct and sewerage of Santiago (Coraasan), has taken more time than expected to conclude the work, while the community claims for the service of the precious liquid. “The networks are already ready, but it has been very difficult to make the connection and the community presses us so that the authorities solve the problem,” said the president of the Board of Neighbors of this community.

The residents of Las Mercedes expressed that they can no longer pay for the price of the tank water truck, so they trusted that the authorities will seek a solution in this regard.
