The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) analyzes the Plan of the Economy of the island for the next year, subject that occupies today the works of the III Plenary of that organization.
The deputy prime minister and head of the Economy and Planning (MEP), Alejandro Gil, presented the plan to the members of the Central Committee of the PCC, led by the first secretary Miguel Díaz-Canel, president of the Republic.
During his speech, Gil referred to the adverse conditions faced by the Cuban economy in a year marked by the global crisis caused by Covid-19 and the intensification of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States.
He recognized the inflationary process that the Antillean nation is experiencing and advanced policies to address it.
He said in this regard that it is vital to increase the supply with greater production, coupled with compliance with measures in commercialization and foreign trade.
According to the PCC website, the minister elaborated on the creation of small and medium-sized enterprises, the greater autonomy of the socialist state enterprise, popular control, collective awareness and solidarity, as pillars for economic recovery and facing the rise in income. prices.
