According to data provided this Sunday to the EFE news agency by the Committee for those affected by blackouts, Venezuela registered at least 32,186 electrical failures last month, which represents an increase in these service interruptions by 9% compared to October. , when some 29,418 were computed.
The data indicates that the state with the most power outages in November was Zulia (northwest) with 4,676 failures; followed by Táchira (west) with 3,232; Merida (west) with 2,887; Miranda (north) with 2,767; Guárico (center) with 1,890; Carabobo (center) with 1,878; and Trujillo (west) with 1,789 service interruptions.
On the other hand, the regions with the fewest failures last month were Bolívar (south, bordering Brazil) with 388, and the Capital District (Caracas) where at least 402 power cuts were reported.
With the total number of failures in November, there were 199,804 since January, which represents an increase of 13.9% compared to the same period last year, when there were 175,399 power outages in the Venezuelan capital and in the 23 states.
President Nicolás Maduro set, in August, the goal of recovering public services, including electricity, before the end of the year, for which he asked citizens to report failures that occur in their communities, and to ministers and state-owned companies that attend to these reports.
