The commissioner of the National Police, John Vallarino, referred earlier to the operational actions carried out over the weekend in various sectors of the country, mainly in the district of San Miguelito.
He explained that in the last 72 hours, 97 raids were carried out, 579 people apprehended, 22 firearms recovered, 59 foreigners apprehended, 377 drug packages, $1,060 seized and 3 cars recovered; this, through “Operation Genesis 2022”.
It was also known that in the early hours of this Sunday there was an exchange of shots at one of the well-known clandestine parties, in the El Valle de Urracá sector. The incident left two people dead and eight people injured.
“We are aware that these types of meetings (clandestine parties) are illegal, they do not have the permits and as a result of the ingestion of alcohol or other substances, they generate quarrels that some are old, and lead to events such as what happened yesterday (Sunday),” he explained.
