Commercial air operations with Colombia authorized

This Friday, the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) reported on the reactivation of commercial air operations with Colombia, after the reestablishment of diplomatic and commercial relations with the New Granada nation.

Through a statement, published on the INAC Twitter account, it was detailed that the restrictions on operations in the country are maintained, due to the Covid-19 situation.

In this sense, he pointed out that commercial air operations are only authorized with 16 countries, including Colombia.

«Only commercial air operations are authorized for the transfer of passengers between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the countries of Türkiye, Russia, Mexico, Bolivia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Bolivia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Spain, Portugal, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Federative Republic of Brazil, Qatar and the Republic of Colombia,” the statement said.

This Friday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that On September 26, the border with Colombia will be reopened.to restore trade relations in this way.

Similarly, the reactivation of flights between both nations with the Caracas-Bogotá and Valencia-Bogotá routes was announced.

Subsequently, the Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, Armando Benedetti, reported that the Ministers of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia; Germán Umaña Mendoza and Transport, Guillermo Reyes, together with the Colombian Civil Aeronautics have advanced conversations with Avianca, Latam, Ultra and Wingo for the activation of direct flights between Bogotá and Caracas.
