215 years after the independence proclamation of April 19, this Saturday they took place in the National Pantheon and Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in Caracas, the commemorative acts.
In the Social Network of Instagram, the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace reviewed the solemn event which was headed by authorities of the Bolivarian Government.
During the activity, the representatives of the National Executive raised the national flag, while the notes of the anthem “Gloria al Bravo Pueblo” were heard.
The solemn event was headed by the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy; the ministers of popular power for the social process of labor, Eduardo Piñate; For culture, Ernesto Villegas; and for the Penitentiary Service, Julio Zerpa, together with the Comptroller General of the FANB, M/G José Serrano Gotera; Those who signed the act issued by the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, in which the act of such an important date of history as a free and independent nation was recorded.
As will be remembered, on April 19, 1810, the then Captain General of Venezuela, Vicente Emparan, was taken to Cabildo to ask the Venezuelan people about the command of the Spanish crown in Venezuelan lands.
Subsequently, the representative of the King of Spain, Fernando VII, upon receiving the negative response from the women and men of Venezuela, who demanded freedom, said that he also did not want the command, which generated the beginning of the independence struggle, which was consolidated some time later with the signing of the act of the independence of July 5, 1811 and the battle of Carabobo of June 24, 1821.
