As will be remembered, on April 19, 1810, the then Captain General of Venezuela, Vicente Emparan, was taken to Cabildo to ask the Venezuelan people about the command of the Spanish crown in Venezuelan lands.

Subsequently, the representative of the King of Spain, Fernando VII, upon receiving the negative response from the women and men of Venezuela, who demanded freedom, said that he also did not want the command, which generated the beginning of the independence struggle, which was consolidated some time later with the signing of the act of the independence of July 5, 1811 and the battle of Carabobo of June 24, 1821.
