According to official media, the Municipal Corporation of Markets of Managua (Commema) ordered the closure of the Moda y Diseño store in the Mercado Oriental due to the assault of the owner of that store on a street pizza vendor.

The business, according to the report, was closed at noon on Sunday, September 1. However, it is not known how long the closure will be extended or how many fines will be imposed.

The authorities placed a notice on the premises that read: “Closed due to Commema.” The sign was hung on the metal curtains that close off the Fashion and Design section. In addition, they surrounded the entrances to the premises with yellow “caution” tape.
