The minutes of the elections, held by the Command with Venezuela, have already been seen in the parliaments of Chile, Argentina, Brazil, the Dominican Republic and at the UN.
This happens one day later that the Senate of Spain demanded that the Government, at the proposal of the PP and with the support of Junts and PNV, recognize the opponent Edmundo González Urrutia as the winner of the presidential elections in Venezuela and demand that the government of Nicolás Maduro release all political prisoners.
The motion, to which the PNV amendment has been incorporated and one from the Socialist Group of La Gomera (ASG) has been compromised, has passed with 156 votes in favor (PP, Vox, UPN, Junts, PNV and Socialist Group Gomera), 98 against (PSOE, ERC, EH Bildu, BNG, Más Madrid) and four abstentions (Geroa Bai, Ara Mes, Canarian Coalition and Herreña Independent Group).
In it, the Government is urged to “make effective” the recognition of Edmundo González “as winner of the elections of July 28, 2024” in accordance with the resolutions approved by Congress, on September 11, and the Senate, September 18 asking to act in that sense.
