Photos and videos circulate on social networks of what would be the presence, once again, of the FARC dissidentssharing with the population of the Catatumbo area, in Norte de Santander.

In this opportunity in the hamlet of Versailles, belonging to the municipality of sharkapparently members of the dissidents were present for much of the day sharing with the community.

“The event was on Thursday, September 8, The gentlemen of the dissidents were here, they shared with us all day, an event was held with the children and young people, also spoke with the community and then they left” said a local resident who asked to reserve his identity.

In the images, a large group of people can be seen around a small platform, where several armed men and wearing clothing for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces can be seen.

On the other hand, in some photos you can see the dissidents walking through the streets of this village, with their camouflage and the bracelets alluding to the Farc.

The material is studied by the authorities, as stated by Colonel John Chavarro, Commander of the Police in Norte de Santander, who at the same time denied that this situation had occurred, despite the images broadcast.

“Right now with the intelligence, and what we have developed on the Tibú sector, We are not aware that they have done any work on the sector of the municipality of Tibú. What we are doing there is a territorial control with our National Army, trying to have a permanent impact on this area,” the officer said.

This fact becomes one of the repeated cases where the FARC dissidents go out onto public roads and exercise, illegally, control on the mobility of the inhabitants in this region of the country.
