The Departmental Convention of the Colorado Party of Soriano to elect the candidates for Mayor will meet on February 1, 2025 – (or the 2nd) because the date must be agreed upon with the Electoral Board – in accordance with what was established in the first session of that body with the conventional members elected in June and which met this Saturday the 30th at Casa del Partido in Mercedes.
During the meeting held in Mercedes, it was also agreed that the fifteen members of the Departmental Executive will be elected in internal elections to be held on Saturday, December 14.
The process and act of elections will be governed by an Electoral Commission made up of José María Romero, Susana Golly, María José Colmán, Virginia Bentos and Jorge Pinazzo Muela.
At this Saturday’s meeting, deputy Martín Melazzi, councilors Andrés Centurión, Enriko Gásperi, and Santiago Fiorelli, the President of the Honorary Commission on Beekeeping Development, Néstor Causa, and the Director of the Dolores Hospital, Gerardo Mezquida, reviewed its management. Likewise, other conventionalists reflected on political reality.
The session was chaired by Freddy Planchón, assisted as secretary by Mezquida and Federico Barboza.
