According to the national government, the number of Colombians who have asked for help to leave Ukraine has increased, amid Russia’s invasion of Donbas.
This information is obtained “thanks to the census that is being carried out and carried out by the diplomatic authorities.”
Of the 188 requests for help, 59 Colombian citizens have managed to leave Ukraine for Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “The most recent update of the Diplomatic and Consular Mission in Warsaw, (Poland), the registry of Colombians in Ukraine amounted to 188, adding 31 relatives, for a total of 219 people.”

Therefore, the nationals who require the help provided by the government may resort to it as long as the Ukrainian government allows it.
Everything depends on them as they are declared in a State of Commotion and that does not allow freedom of movement in citizens.
In addition to this, the Foreign Ministry has reiterated that a protocol was activated in the Embassy and consulates of Colombia in Europe, for the support or asylum of Colombians leaving Ukraine.
Likewise, the Foreign Ministry has placed assistance points for Colombians who need to leave, they are located on the southeastern side of Poland (Przemyśl).
