During the arrest, they were charged with drunkenness and inciting public disorder; this happened in the middle of the Copa América.
News Colombia.
As you may recall, the last match of the Colombian National Team against Argentina was overshadowed by fights and disturbances by those who wanted to enter the Hard Rock Stadium.
The security team at Hard Rock Stadium opened its doors at 5:00 pm so that attendees could enter normally to enjoy the game, but the organization and operators, apparently, were not up to the logistics involved in the big event.
Amid the chaos, it was learned that Miami Police arrested several fans from Argentina and Colombia who were involved in clashes with authorities who were trying to stop gatecrashers.
According to reports from the New York Post, American authorities managed to arrest 27 people.
Eleven of them are known to be illegal immigrants facing charges of assaulting police officers, trespassing, public disorder and resisting arrest.

Among those involved is Argemiro Rodríguez, a 40-year-old Colombian, arrested for “interference in a sporting event and resistance.”
According to Red + Noticias, this was not the first time that Rodríguez had faced problems with the American justice system.
In 2021, the National Team fan was arrested in October for crossing the border into Arizona without documents, but “was released from ICE custody the following month because he was overweight, according to internal Homeland Security documents.”
