The dessert was composed of layers of artisanal puff pastry, pastry cream, arequipe and fresh fruits such as strawberry, guanábana and peach. Its elaboration was the result of more than 48 hours of continuous work, in which at least five people participated, including neighbors and friends of the pastry. The final assembly was completed in just 35 minutes in the middle of public roads, generating great expectation among the inhabitants of the sector.
Hundreds of people attended the event, not only to witness the historical moment, but also to enjoy a free giant portion. More than 300 rations were distributed among the attendees, who applauded the initiative that not only sweetened the day, but also strengthened the sense of belonging in the community. The atmosphere was partying and neighborhood pride.
Luz Mary Pinto, a native of Santander, said that this achievement is the result of years of effort in his venture. Through the Maniro Sweet bakery, it seeks to demonstrate that large goals can also be achieved from popular neighborhoods. “We wanted to do something that would give us visibility, that he showed that there is also talent and ability to achieve unique things,” said the pastry in the middle of the celebration.

This event not only beat records at the regional level, but also left a new goal: to overcome the largest world record, currently registered in Switzerland. For Luz Mary, what happened in Madelena is only the beginning of a series of projects with which she hopes to position her neighborhood as a gastronomic and cultural reference within the Colombian capital.
The largest milhoja record in Latin America thus becomes a sample that collective work, love for kitchen and the desire to transform the environment can result in great achievements. What began as an idea in a local bakery ended up being a celebration that united a whole neighborhood and put it on the national map.
