Panamanian Olympic boxing glory Atheyna Bylon shared her experiences and advice as an athlete with a group of young people from the Department of Amazonas in Colombia, who are doing a sports internship in Panama.
In the discussion held in the gym that bears her name, located at the headquarters of the National Police, the second sergeant and winner of the gold medal at the recent Asunción 2022 South American Games, answered the questions of the young people, who stated her joy of knowing her and of following in her footsteps.
In total there were 8 young Colombians, who participate in a prevention program focused on providing opportunities to children and adolescents, who participated in the conversation with Bylon.
These little athletes dream of breaking into sports as a means to improve their quality of life and that of their families.
“It fills me with great satisfaction to see that there are young people who are enthusiastic about forging a professional career in boxing, it is not easy, this requires many sacrifices, but I am sure that each goal that one sets for himself can be achieved with dedication,” Bylon said.
