Colombian Ambassador to Portugal, José Fernando Bautista, passed away in Lisbon

The Colombian ambassador to Portugal, José Fernando Bautista, passed away on Thursday, August 8, in Lisbon, according to information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its social networks.

Through this message, the Colombian Foreign Ministry regretted the death of the diplomat and praised “his firm commitment to Colombia and the country’s foreign policy”.

For several years, Ambassador Bautista provided diplomatic services in São Paulo (Brazil), Pretoria (South Africa), Venezuela and Lisbon, where he died.
