Goldsmith, who was recently in Colombia, where he participated in the III Summit of the Leticia Pact, stated that “The UK is happy to commit new funds of £ 300 million, so that all the projects that are already operating in Colombia under the leadership of President Duque flow.”.
“I have had time to pass through Colombia, a few weeks ago, and I was overwhelmed by the beauty and wealth of the country, but even more so by the leadership of President Duque and his team and the commitment to address this problem in an inspiring way. It is clear to us in the United Kingdom that the first step is to commit to working with Colombia for the good of the Amazon.”He added.
